Happy 4th of July! A big fire in the Alpine mountains started July 3rd and burned throught the 4th. I was mostly put out by rain on the 5th, but burned 3/4ths of the east mountain...quick moving fire. It started by the rodeo grounds; they thought it would get some houses but the firefighters did a great job protecting them. It only got an old red barn. Many fires going on here in the west and its only the beginning of July.
